Plans for largest wind farm to date approved

Muirden Energy are delighted to have received permission for their largest wind farm to date at Cogle Moss, near Watten in Caithness. Scottish Ministers granted planning permission for the plans in August 2017 following an appeal against Highland Council’s decision earlier this year. The development would comprise of 12 wind turbines, which would each have a generating capacity of 3MW, and a total wind farm output of 36MW. Work is underway to prepare for the construction phase of the project.

The company currently await decisions on two other proposals for 17 turbines in the Highlands at Drum Hollistan in Caithness and West Garty in Sutherland
