November has seen the successful commissioning of two Enercon E-48s at two Aberdeenshire sites; Craig Garbill and Wrae. The projects see the company moving towards larger turbines for the future. Craig Garbill is expected to produce 7.69GWh of energy annually, the equivalent to powering 375 homes for the year. Wrae is expected to produce at least 1.42GWh of energy annually, enough to power around 311 homes for the year. To put the company's direction towards larger turbine projects into perspective, the 225kW turbines installed by Muirden Energy earlier in the year power, on average, 176 homes annually.
