Community Benefit is a well-established, integral part of onshore wind energy development, and represents a positive relationship between developers and communities. As a renewable energy developer we at Muirden Energy are committed to ensuring these benefits are realised within local communities that host our wind farms.
We register all our sites with the Community Renewables Register at Local Energy Scotland http://www.localenergyscotland.org/view-the-regist.... The Register is a useful tool for community groups to see what turbines are near to them and how to apply for Community Benefit from neighbouring turbines.
If you have a community project or are a member of a community group that could put some funding to good use please have a look at the community benefit on offer at each of our projects. To apply for funding, please email Joy Spence at email@example.com. We require a brief description of what the funding is required for, who/how many people will benefit from the funding and where the project/group is based. We are open to all requests; no project is too small or too large. Your application will be assessed and we will endeavour to support as many good causes as possible.
Informal enquiries are welcome. Joy is available to discuss any ideas or pipeline projects on 01888 569310. Muirden Energy are committed to ensuring communities do not miss out. As such, we operate rolling budgets. Any Community Benefit remaining will always roll into the following year and enable us to fund larger high impact community projects.
