This site has two 225kW turbines which were commissioned in September 2015. The turbines generate £3000 of Community Benefit annually. Applications to the fund are now open.

Funds generated by the Tarlair Turbines, Macduff as part of Muirden Energy’s community Benefit Scheme for 2016/2017 has been distributed around a number of groups in the Banff/Macduff area.

Deveronvale Youth were awarded funds towards their Barcelona Trip.

Fearsome Foursome were given a £600 sponsorship for their Great Wall of China walk. Monies raised are being split between The Enable Club, Home Start, Charlie House, Mental Health Aberdeen, Callum Cabin, MacDuff, Banff & Turriff Primary Schools

Macduff Primary School received hoodies for their Trip to London – Trip Leader Gordon Mackay stated the kids were ‘fair chuffed’ when presented the hoodies.

King Edward Primary School were delighted to receive a donation to go towards updating the school playground. They school were also fundraising for the remainder of the costs with sponsored events and a soup & sweet.

Macduff Lifeboats have several courses that new members of the crew are required to attend and Muirden donated funds to assist with these costs.

Macduff Scout Group received a donation towards their ‘Raise the Roof’ project, where planning permission has been received to upgrade the Scout Hut to a 2-storey building.
