Bracoden Primary School- Garden Project supported by Wind.

As part of our community benefit scheme, a windfarm we manage down in Gardenstown has supported the Local Primary school with the development of their new Gardening space. Funds donated will go towards the purchase of a new outdoor pavilion.

Today we met with the Staff and children to hear all about their plans for the area. They are on a mission to create a calming and inviting space where they can learn and grow whilst having fun. They talked of a polytunnel with raised beds made from recycled materials, where they plan to plant all different types of fruit and vegetables. This project is aimed to benefit not only the school but the community as well. The school Janitor was already making progress in clearing the space to allow the children to start work.

We can't wait to see the space when it is complete, and maybe even taste some of those home grown veggies!
